Commitment to Sustainability…

Mortlock Construction has become a benchmark for sustainability. We have a deep caring for the environment and are conscientious of our impact on the Earth. We are active members of the Canada Green Building Council and are taking steps to accredit our employees as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) professionals.

Mortlock Construction made a name for itself in the world of sustainability through their construction of the Port Hope Community Health Centre. By using 100% FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood, Mortlock set the gold standard. Less than 3% of applicants for this LEED credit are accepted with the acceptable level being 50% FSC certified wood. Mortlock Construction went above and beyond what was expected and set the bar for sustainability. We understand the importance of finding environmentally appropriate and economically viable options and our past projects and continuing efforts reflect our commitment to the environment and sustainability.
